I commend you and your staff for the magnificent camp experience. As veterans of a number of day camps and sleepaway camps, I just cannot say enough wonderful things about Gesher. I never saw Laura as happy as the days she was going to Gesher. I loved the warm and caring environment you provided and the Yiddishkeit that the camp offered. What a difference your camp made in our lives and to thank you for a great summer.
I signed my daughter up for camp with great fear that we would have a repeat of her last year’s refusal to continue after the first two weeks at her other local well-known camp. What an incredibly different experience this has been for her. She is so happy going to camp every day and loves the program so much. I cannot tell you what pure joy it brings to me, as her mother, watching her skip off to meet her group at the benches, and having her climb into my car, excited to tell me of all the activities and things she has accomplished.
My husband and I want you know that although it is just the beginning of the third week of camp, we are so impressed and pleased with the way in which you run your camp. We love the constant contact with the parents via gazettes, memos and postcards from the counselors. We love the activities and the lunch menu. Our son’s counselors are wonderful. He is very happy to go off to camp each morning and bubbles over with information when he comes home in the afternoon. As far as I am concerned, you can be our camp until he is a counselor there!
Rebecca almost didn’t attend your camp this summer. She was committed to another popular camp that she attended last year. I made the decision to pull her from the other camp because I felt her summers were not special or fun enough. Simply put, I knew what my daughter was missing and was determined to get it for her at Gesher.
Rebecca began the summer nervous and unsure about how she would fit in. All I can say is “what a difference a camp can make!” I think it actually took a day for her to adjust to her new setting. It was almost immediately that she became anxious to get to camp, excited to try new activities and see her new friends. If that wasn’t enough to make a mother happy, Rebecca loved learning about Israel, and Jewish traditions. I think she had a permanent smile on her face for the six straight weeks!
I want you to know how great both of my kids think Gesher is. They absolutely love it and are excited each day. They were both at another camp for the last 3 summers and from an administrative standpoint, you guys are far superior. You are attentive and responsive and I feel totally at ease about my kids’ safety. All of your hard work and dedication is apparent and is very much noticed. Thanks!
Thank you for an amazing summer. Everyday was the “best” day for our son - he had so much fun and so many new experiences. He overcame his fear of the water which was a great achievement and is now swimming without the bubble! He loves tennis and is going to continue learning in the fall. He enjoyed all the activities and dressing up. I am so pleased that we sent him to Gesher and look forward to sending him again next year.
As always, our son had an amazing summer at Gesher. Being in Galil, he tried so many new things and was so proud to participate in all that was offered. Your program keeps expanding each year and you provide wonderful trips and learning for all of the kids. Also, the staff is always nurturing, fun and outstanding. So, thank you again for a great summer.
Our daughter could not have asked for a more amazing first introduction to summer camp as she had this summer in Kinneret at Gesher. Her counselor was the most energetic, enthusiastic, sweetest counselor we could have asked for. Our daughter has not stopped singing the songs she learned this summer and I cannot stop raving about your swimming program. Her swimming has improved tremendously as well as her overall confidence!!!!!!
Our son, aged 4, has had a number of educational and recreational experiences in his short life. However, without a doubt, Gesher was the best thing he has ever experienced.
One of the most appealing aspects of Gesher is that it is one of the few arenas where Conservative and Orthodox Jews mix so nicely as partners. Everyone is made to feel welcome. The kids really get a sense of religious pride and they are infused with a strong love of Israel. We are not kidding when we say that our son’s favorite song at the moment is Hatikvah. We could not be more pleased!
