Negev: Entering First and Second Grades
Our high energy Negev Unit is led by
Sharon Cohn and
Gayle Gruber, and assisted by
Lyndsey Krumholz. Negev campers spend the day in all-boy or all-girl groups and take part in all available camp activities. During the day, each group rotates through 6 different activities and tries lots of new things! Our team of specialist and activity instructors lead and teach all sorts of crafts, performance and outdoor activities. Our sports program is led by a team of professional athletic trainers from the Sports Domain Academy in Montclair. Negev campers love taking on new challenges and adventures while building valuable skills, life-long friendships and lasting memories!
During the summer, Negev campers have the opportunity to enjoy an extended stay at camp for a traditional Gesher “under-night” with a special program, dinner and an extra swim. They also go on two day trips and put on a Unit wide show at Camp. Negev campers participate in camp-wide special events like carnivals and performances by guest entertainers.
Swimming is an important part of each day, and all Gesher campers have an instructional lesson each morning and “free” swim in the afternoon for splashing around and having fun.
Parents are invited to camp on Visiting Day (please see the
camp calendar) to see their campers in action and share a fun afternoon at Gesher!
