Kinneret: Entering Pre K through Kindergarten
Our Kinneret campers are the youngest members of the Gesher family and are offered a full day, full week camp program! The Kinneret Unit is led by Michelle Schaerf and Debbie Lurie, with Audra Sapherstein as their assistant. Senior counselors in each group (experienced moms are with Pre-K!) are keenly aware of the needs and energy levels, both physical and social, of these campers. Our Pre-K bunks are co-ed. Starting in Kindergarten, children are placed in all-boy and all-girl bunks. All Kinneret campers must be toilet trained.

With three counselors in a group of approximately 12-14 children, and a team of specialists in every activity area, these young campers are provided lots of individual attention and age-appropriate fun and exploration. Their daily schedule alternates between quiet and dynamic activities and includes a rest time after lunch. These enthusiastic campers can be found on the tennis courts and soccer fields, at cooking and photography, as well as at Arts and Crafts or Nature! Kinneret campers take part in all camp activities (except for Archery and Bank Shot) at a level that is suitable for them. They will learn new skills while having a ton of fun! Kinneret campers also participate in camp-wide special events like carnivals and performances by guest entertainers.

Swimming is an important part of each day, and all Gesher campers have an instructional lesson each morning and “free” swim in the afternoon for splashing around and having fun. Kinneret campers also participate in our dynamic sports program at a level that is appropriate for them. We have a team of professional athletic trainers from the Sports Domain Academy in Montclair leading our sports program.
