Galil: Entering Third thru Sixth Grades
The Galil Unit, headed by
Karen Weiss who is assisted by
Shai Lewitter, offers big fun for our growing campers! Galil campers enjoy all the activities at Gesher, along with an opportunity to choose areas of special interest during Choice periods. Options include athletic clinics, crafts, hobby areas, aquatics specialties, and artist-in-residence workshops. Our sports program is led by a team of professional athletic trainers from the Sports Domain Academy in Montclair.
Galil campers go on two amazing daytrips each summer. They also enjoy two overnights at camp that include a special trip or program, dinner and sometimes an extra swim. The Galil Camp Show is a huge Gesher tradition which takes place at the end of the summer. We invite our Galil families to join their campers for dinner and to see an evening performance of their show in our beautiful air-conditioned auditorium! Galil campers participate in camp-wide special events like carnivals and performances by guest entertainers.
Swimming is an important part of each day, and all Gesher campers have an instructional lesson each morning and “free” swim in the afternoon for splashing around and having fun.
Parents are invited to camp on Visiting Day (please see the
camp calendar) to see their campers in action and share a fun afternoon at Gesher!
